I like to consider myself someone who is always prepared and one particular aspect of my self described preparedness is in regards to a little emergency kit that I always carry with me in my purse. The contents of my kit has saved me in several instances so here are a few things to get your own emergency beauty kit packed and ready. I contain my emergency items in a clear make-up bag. This makes for easy traveling through airport security. 🙂
Tide Pen: I love my Tide pen! This is perhaps the most used item in my emergency kit. I find it quite frequent that I spill or drop food, skincare products, etc on my clothes and my Tide pen always comes to the rescue.
Eye Drops: If you’re like me and suffer from allergies, this is a great item to keep with you. Especially during the springtime when my allergies are at their peak, I often need to relieve my dry, itchy eyes. Eye drops also come in handy when you have an inflamed blemish. Soak a Q-tip with redness relief eye drops and then apply to your blemish. It will relieve the redness and inflamation of the pimple.
Hand Sanitizer: Now that cold and flu season are in full swing, it’s important to disinfect your hands quite frequently.
Advil: Any pain reliever will do. But when a headache creeps up on you, you will be thankful you had a pain reliever on hand to combat the discomfort.
Travel size lotion: I usually keep a small bottle of lotion in my kit for when my hands get dry and I need instant relief. The travel size lotions at Bath and Body Works are the perfect size to fit in your kit and you have the choice of so many delectable fragrances.
Skin Serum: I always carry a facial serum with me because I often experience dry patches or irritation on my skin, especially during the colder months. If I need to soothe my irritated skin, I am prepared in any situation.
Lip gloss: Every girl probably already has this in her possession at all times, but you never know when you need a touch of color or just a little lip moisture.
Sewing Kit: The sewing kit I carry is extremely small and portable. You never know when you will snag a thread in your blouse or find an unexpected hole in an item you are wearing. This sewing kit will take care of any wardrobe malfunctions you encounter.
Concealer: For those quick make-up touch ups, concealer is a prime product to have on hand.
Don’t fall victim to Murphy’s Law. Create your own emergency beauty kit and you will be ready to handle any messy situation life throws at you.
